Vazhakka Pulissery
Raw banana cooked in yogurt
Ingredients
- 2 cups Raw bananas, diced
- 1 1/2 cups Yogurt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons oil
- 2 Red chilies
- 1 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Jeera
- 2 Green Chilies
- 1/2 cup grated Coconut
- Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- Curry leaves, few
Instructions
- Grind coconut with chilies and jeera to coarse paste.
- Boil banana in water with salt and turmeric, till vazhakka is soft.
- Add coconut paste to vegetables. Simmer for 2 minutes. Add yogurt and stir. Simmer on low heat while stirring.
- Temper with hot oil, fried mustard seeds, red chillies, fenugreek seeds and curry leaves.
- Serve Vazhakka Pulissery hot with rice
