Mixed flour spicy flat bread popular in west India

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup Thick Poha
  • 1/2 cup Jawar Flour
  • 1/2 cup Rice Flour
  • 1/2 cup Besan / Gram Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ajwain / Carom seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 2 teaspoons Coriander powder
  • 4 Green Chillies
  • 1 Ginger, an inch long
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Knead flours, water soaked poha, spices and other ingredients (except sesame seeds) into stiff dough. Rest dough for 15 minutes.
  2. Roll or pat portion of dough into flat round shaped bread. Sprinkle sesame seeds onto it.
  3. Bake over hot tawa till it appears cooked on both sides. Grease with oil if required.
  4. Serve hot thalipeth with yogurt.
