Thambou Singju

Salad made with lotus root and manipuri herbs

Ingredients

  • Thambou / Kamal Kakdi/Lotus Root, sliced
  • Cabbage, finely chopped
  • Spring onion, finely chopped
  • Toningkhok (Houttuynia cordata- Roots and leaves), a manipuri herb, finely chopped
  • Thoiding asuba / Ground Sesame Seeds
  • Besan, lightly roasted
  • Chili
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients. Mix well. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve Thambou Singju.
