Methi Dhirde

Methi Dhirde is a flat pancake prepared with mix flour, various pulses, and fenugreek seeds. It is an ideal dish for people with diabetes. It is considered a healthy and nutritious breakfast dish.


  • 6 cups rice
  • 2 cups toor dal
  • 2 cups chana dal
  • 2 cups urad dal
  • 2 cups jowar
  • 1 cup whole wheat
  • 1 cup coriander seeds
  • 1/2 cup fenugreek seeds
  • 2 cups fenugreek flour
  • 12 garlic cloves crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoons oil


  1. In a bowl, mix flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, garlic and oil.
  2. Add water slowly to make a batter.
  3. Pour a ladle of batter on a heated non-stick pan and cook both sides.
  4. Serve Methi Dhirde hot with coconut chutney.
