Bael chi barfi

Bael chi barfi or Bael Vadi is Maharashtrian sweet dish made from bael fruit. Simply put it is fudge of bael pulp.


  • 1 Bael Fruit
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cardamom Powder
  • 1 tablespoon grounded Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ghee


  1. Mix bael fruit pulp with sugar and cook until paste is dry.
  2. Add cardamom powder, grounded sugar and stir.
  3. Grease a plate with ghee and spread the mixture evenly.
  4. Allow to cool. cut into diamond shapes. Enjoy bael chi barfi as a healthy snack.
