Traditional lemonade from North India


  • 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon cumin/jeera, roasted and powdered
  • black salt, as required
  • 2 teaspoons Sugar
  • 4 -5 mint leaves (optional)


  1. Squeeze lemon juice to chilled water. Adjust taste with salt, sugar and jeera.
  2. Garnish with mint leaves and serve Shikanji.
