Leftover rice fermented with curd and spiced


  • 1/2 cup leftover rice
  • 1/4 cup yogurt / curd
  • 1/4 cup arisi kanji/water drained from cooked rice
  • 5 pearl onions
  • 1 green chili
  • salt and sugar as per taste


  1. Soak leftover rice in just enough water overnight.
  2. Add yogurt, arisi kanji, salt, ginger, green chili and chopped onions. Mash / blend well.
