Mulappicha Cherupayar Thoran

Sprouted green gram stir fried with coconut and spices

Ingredients

  • 250 grams Sprouted Green gram
  • 1/4 cup Shallot, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Dried red chilli
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 cup Grated coconut
  • Few Curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as needed

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
  2. Add curry leaves and shallots, Sauté well.
  3. Add dried red chilli powder and mix well.
  4. Add sprouted green gram, salt, turmeric powder and mix well.
  5. Add 1/4 cup water and cook covered for 5 minutes.
  6. Add grated coconut and mix well.
  7. Serve Mulappicha cherupayar thoran with rice.
