Spicy tomato chutney from Tripura


  • 2 Tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Oil
  • 2 Onion,finely chopped
  • Garlic- pods, finely chopped
  • 3 teaspoons Red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves- a handful


  1. Mix chili powder in 1/4 cup of water. Keep aside.
  2. Heat oil. Fry onion and garlic till light brown.
  3. Add chili powder paste. Cook till paste thickens. Add tomatoes and cook till mushy.
  4. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve Mosdeng Serma along with rice.
