Popular Gujarati flat bread with fenugreek leaves flavor

  • 2 cups Wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup Fenugreek leaves / methi
  • 1/3 cup Coriander leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic
  • Spices - Coriander powder, Turmeric powder, Red Chilli powder - as per taste
  • 2 teaspoons Salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Oil


  1. Mix all ingredients and knead a soft dough. Rest for 10-15 minutes
  2. Roll portion of dough into roti/round flat bread and bake on hot tawa till golden brown on both sides. Apply oil on both sides if required.
  3. Serve hot methi thepla with yogurt or pickle
