Authentic Odia chutney prepared with star fruit
- 2 -3 ripe Star fruits, sliced
- 1 teaspoon Oil
- 1/4 teaspoon Asafetida
- 1 -2 dry Red chilies
- 1/4 teaspoon Pancha phutana (5 spices mix)
- Few Curry leaves
- Salt to taste
- Pinch of Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- Heat oil. Fry asafetida, dry red chilies, panch phutana and curry leaves.
- Add star fruit and saute for few minutes.
- Add salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder and a cup of water. Mix well and bring to a boil.
- Add sugar and allow it to dissolve.
- Serve Kamranga makha curry with rice.
