Kodo ko roti

Flatbread made from flour of local finger millet

Ingredients

  • 1 cup finger millet/ ragi / kodo
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 green chilli finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Mix kodo flour with cup of water and knead into thick paste.
  2. Spread tbsp. of paste over banana leaf. Cover with other banana leaf.
  3. Bake on hot tawa till almost cooked.
  4. Place the roti inside earthern oven (bake over direct fire) for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve Kodo ko roti hot with Sidra ko achar.
