Babbru
Deep fried bread from Himalayan hills
Ingredients
- 1 kilogram Wheat flour
 - Oil for frying (mustard oil preferred)
 - Sugar
 - Yeast / Khameer
 - Salt
 
Instructions
- Mix wheat flour and add half a cup of refined oil with little sugar.
 - Mix water and knead dough. Add yeast.
 - Allow it to rest overnight.
 - Take a small portion of dough and roll it into shape of puri.
 - Deep fry on hot flame. Allow it to cook on both sides till brown.
 - Serve hot with pickle or tea snack.
