Zan is dish made from millet flour by Tibetan / Monpa tribe in Arunachal Pradesh. The recipe is similar to Dhindo recipe from Nepal, Paba from Ladakh or Muddu from South India.


  • Millet flour
  • Salt


  1. Heat water with little flour and salt.
  2. Bring to boil and place all flour over water without stirring.
  3. Allow to cook for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Stir well as mixture thickens to form dough.
  5. Serve Zan with chutney / stew.
