Shangri kahwa

Kahwa is an aromatic drink made of various aromatic herbs like saffron, cinnamon, cardamom, clove, licorice and rose petals. With origins from Kashmir valley, kahwa tea is made in other parts of India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Central asia.

Shangri Kahwa is particular kahwa from North Kashmir traditionally used as home cure for respiratory problems. It acts like stimulant and rejuvenator during winter. Shangri Kahwa finds its mention in Unani and Ayurvedic medicinal system as well.

Ingredients

  • Liquorice
  • Cardamom
  • cinnamon
  • clove buds
  • sugar
  • Saffron
  • green tea

Instructions

  1. Boil small quantity of liquorice, cardamom, cinnamon, clove buds, and sugar in water for 15 to 20 minutes.
  2. Strain and serve hot.
  3. Some people also use saffron, dry fruits and green tea as ingredients.
