Masur Dailor Bor

Masur Dailor Bor is a popular Assamese snack prepared with red lentils or masoor dal.


  • 250 grams Red lentils (Masur Dal), soaked and ground into a coarse paste
  • 10 grams Rice powder (optional)
  • 4 -5 Green Chillies
  • 1 pinch Baking soda
  • 2 medium sized Onions
  • 1 cup Mustard oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves


  1. Mix together lentil paste, rice powder, baking soda, onions, green chillies coriander leaves, salt and water to form a thick batter.
  2. Deep fry the fritters.
  3. Serve Masur Dailor Bor hot!
