Ambalappuzha pal payasam

Special Kerala rice – Unakkallari cooked with milk.


  • 1/2 cup Unakkallari / Kerala Red rice, cleaned and drained
  • 5 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Sugar


  1. Heat milk along with rice till almost cooked.
  2. Add sugar and continue cooking on low flame till milk reduced to half (almost 80-90 minutes). Stir continuously
