Shallow fried spicy potato patties
- 3 large potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed
- 2 pieces of bread, shredded
- 2 tablespoons corn flour
- 1/2 teaspoon black salt
- 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mango powder/ amchoor
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon fennel powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- Mix mashed potatoes, shredded bread and corn flour.
- Mix all spices. Create discs / patties of potato mixture.
- Shallow fry patties till crispy and brown on sides.
- Serve alu tikki with tamarind chutney, coriander chutney, yogurt, boiled chick peas and chopped onions.
