Sephe Tagi

Fresh sprouted wheat bread.

Bread is made during spring time in Zanskar valley in Ladakh.



  • Sprouted wheat / barley (1 cm long sprouts)


  1. Crush sprouts in pestle and mortar.
  2. Mix with water
  3. Mix wheat flour.
  4. Dough is cooked with little butter/fat on heated stone or griddle
  5. Eaten split with fat/butter inside.
