Paleng Boil

Paleng Boil is a tasty Assamese recipe prepared with spinach. It can be served as a soups or stew.


  • A handful of Spinach, chopped
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • Green chillies
  • Salt to taste
  • A pinch Black pepper
  • Ghee/Butter or Cheese
  • Coriander leaves for garnish


  1. Boil spinach, tomato, green chillies and salt in little water.
  2. Add black pepper powder and second tomato. Cook until done.
  3. Add some ghee/butter or cheese. Mix well
  4. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  5. Serve Paleng boil warm.
