Mathura Pedha

Sweet milk based prasad served in temples at Mathura


  • 200 grams Khava (unsweetened)
  • 1 cup sugar, powdered
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cardamom powder
  • 2 teaspoons Ghee
  • 3 tablespoons Milk


  1. Mix sugar with crumbled khava.
  2. Ghee roast khava mixture till golden brown. Add ghee or milk while roasting.
  3. Add cardamom powder. Mix well. Once cool, make flat rolls - pedas.
  4. Store Mathura pedhas in refrigerators.
