Lungru ki sabji

Stir fried vegetable fern stems cooked along with yogurt

Ingredients

  • Lungru stems - curled tops of vegetable fern
  • Asafoetida
  • Cumin Seeds
  • Oil
  • Turmeric powder
  • Red Chilli powder
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Remove hair on lungru stems using cotton cloth.
  2. Wash and cut into small pieces
  3. Heat excess oil in a pan.
  4. Once hot add pinch of asafoetida and cumin seeds.
  5. Stir fry lungru.
  6. Once soft, add turmeric powder and red chilli powder.
  7. Add salt as per taste.
  8. Add curd once lungru seems almost done. Stir.
  9. Serve hot with roti or rice.
