Steamed rice balls (idli) made in jackfruit leaves


  • 1 cup rice, small grain - soaked overnight
  • 1/2 cup urad dal / black gram dal - soaked overnight
  • large jackfruit leaves
  • Salt


  1. Grind dal and rice into fine paste. Add salt and adjust consistency.
  2. Make basket out of leaves. Put batter and steam for 15-20 mintues.
  3. Serve Khotto hot with chutney
