Spicy Lentil curry made konkani way


  • 1 cup toor dal
  • 2 teaspoons Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 2 dry red chillies
  • 1 pinch hing
  • Salt, as per taste
  • Curry leaves
  • coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder


  1. Pressure cook dal with water. Once cool, add salt, hing, turmeric powder. Blend and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil. Splutter fried mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chillies.
  3. Add blended dal. Bring to boil. Serve Dalitoy / Dali Tove hot with rice.
