Sweet dish made from urad dal similar to Jalebi
- 1 cup Urad dal , soaked for an hour
- 2 teaspoons Raw rice, soaked for an hour
- 3 cups Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon Saffron soaked milk
- Grind rice and dal in a grinder along with water.
- Make sugar syrup by heating sugar and water to single thread consistency. Add saffron colour. Keep aside.
- Make plastic cone with hole. Place batter inside cone and make floral shapes on plastic surface.
- Deep fry shapes till brown and crispy.
- Dip fried jangris in sugar syrup.
- Serve Jangri hot.
