Traditional Ragi porridge made with goan palm jaggery. Tizann is a great comfort food & can be enjoyed as a breakfast in the form of a porridge or as a dessert in the form of a chilled pudding.


  • 1 cup Nachani / Ragi / Finger Millet, soaked in water for 4 hours
  • 1 Coconut, grated
  • Goa Pyramid Jaggery / Palm Jaggery as per taste, grated
  • 1 pinch Salt


  1. Grind nachni along with coconut and water to fine paste. Extract juice using muslin cloth.
  2. Mix grated jaggery to extract. Add salt and heat.
  3. Stir while heating till mixture thickens.
  4. Serve Tizann hot.
