Herbal tea from Kashmir
- 1 tablespoon Kashmiri chai or green tea
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 small cinnamon stick
- 3 green cardamom pods
- 1 pinch black salt
- 2 cups cold milk
- Brew tea in 2 cups water along with baking soda, cinnamon, cardamom and salt covered for 15-20 minutes.
- Add another cup of water and heat on high flame. Bring to boil. Add milk.
- Strain and serve Kashmiri Chai. Garnish with almonds or pistachios.
