Tekeli Pitha

Steamed rice flour cake made using earthernware / tekeli


  • 1 cup Rice Flour
  • 1/2 cup Grated Coconut
  • 1/2 cup Sugar/ Jaggery


  1. Sprinkle little water over rice flour and crumble with hand.
  2. Place cotton cloth in sieve. Press half of flour to the sieve floor. Put sugar coconut mixture in between. Cover up with flour. Press and set the flour.
  3. Steam the flour placed in sieve for 15 minutes. Once cooked flip onto place.
  4. Garnish with grated coconut. Serve Tekeli Pitha hot with ghee.
