Kol Posola

A tasty Assamese dish prepared with banana stem and spices.


  • Banana stem, cut into small pieces
  • Onion, chopped
  • Garlic, chopped
  • Cumin seeds
  • Mustard seeds
  • Fenugreek seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • Water


  1. Heat oil in a pan and fry onions with garlic ,cumin seeds,mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds
  2. Add banana stem and fry well.
  3. Add little hot water and cook covered until the water evaporates.
  4. Serve Kol Posola hot with rice.
